It can also do simple file transfers with no error checking. The cu command can be installed by installing the uucp package. yum install uucpConnect using the cu-command cu -l /dev/ttyS0 -s 9600 More information can be found in the man pages. man cuReset APC PDU passwordDecember 11, 2009 – 10:40 pm by Tom Van den BergMethod 1: Method 2: Hint: Use a paperclip to press the reset button Pre-registreer uw .eu IDN naamDecember 3, 2009 – 3:30 pm by Tom Van den BergCafé.eu, couturière.eu, leçons.eu en à-volonté.eu, dit zijn maar enkele voorbeelden van de namen die binnenkort geregistreerd kunnen worden. PFDAVadmin on Exchange 2007: Could not expand…November 18, 2009 – 9:28 pm by Hannes Van de VelYou might want to use PFDAVAdmin on Exchange 2007 (to set public folder user rights for example) and run into this error; Could not expand https://yourexchange.yourdomain.local/ExAdmin/Admin/…. You should either install .NET Framework 1.1 or run the tool from a server or workstation with .NET Framework 1.1 installed. When installing the 1.1 framework on Windows 2003 64 bit, run the following post install to fix IIS problems (OWA does not work until you run this); cscript %SYSTEMDRIVE%\inetpub\adminscripts\adsutil.vbs SET W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 0 %SYSTEMROOT%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis.exe –i (source: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894435) 10 Nov 2009 – EDPnet failureNovember 10, 2009 – 10:02 am by Hannes Van de VelNederlandse versieDoor een storing bij EDPnet was connectiviteit vanuit bepaalde delen van het internet sinds 10/11, 7:45 naar onze POP in LCL Diegem niet mogelijk. In afwachting van een definitieve oplossing werd alle verkeer geherrouteerd via een andere connectiviteitsprovider. Update Het probleem werd verholpen om 10:15. English versionDue to an EDPnet outage there was no connectivity since 10/11, 7h45 to our POP in LCL Diegem from some parts of the internet. We temporary rerouted traffic through another connectivityprovider until the problem gets resolved. Update The problem has been resolved since 10:15. 21 Oct 2009 – Outage LCL AntwerpenOctober 21, 2009 – 8:00 pm by Hannes Van de VelNederlandse versieDoor een korte stroomstoring in LCL Antwerpen waren er algemene problemen vanaf 17h05. English versionA short power cut in LCL Antwerp caused general problems starting at 17h05. Around 17h40, most problems were solved. A small group of customers was affected longer because of a problem with some shared firewalls. The latter problems were solved around 18h30. The power cut was caused by 1 of the 3 UPSes that failed briefly. The UPS that caused the problem was taken out of service. How a single UPS failure could impact on the entire power supply will be further examined in the next coming days. We will update this post when we get more information. Update LCL planned a maintenance on Thursday November 5th between 23h and 4h. The maintenance is related to the incident on October 21st; a failing UPS was taken out of service. This UPS will be put back into service during this maintenance. Although all possible precautions will be taken, there is a small possibility that this action might cause a new interruption. Update The reinstatement of the UPS has been successfully completed. Exchange Server 2007: Renewing the self-signed certificateSeptember 24, 2009 – 11:56 am by Tom Van den BergExchange Server 2007 issues itself a self-signed certificate for use with services like SMTP, IMAP, POP, IIS and UM. The certificate is issued for a period of one year. The self-signed certificate meets an important need – securing communication for Exchange services by default. Nevertheless, one should treat these self-signed certificates as temporary. It’s not recommended to use these for any client communication on an ongoing basis. For most deployments, you will end up procuring a certificate from a trusted 3rd-party CA (or perhaps an internal CA in organizations with PKI deployed). However, should you decide to leave the self-signed certificate(s) on some servers and continue to use them, these need to be renewed – just as you would renew certificates from 3rd-party or in-house CAs. Step 1: Get-ExchangeCertificate -domain "myserver.connexeon.com" | fl Note the services the certificate is enabled for (by default: POP, IMAP, IIS, SMTP on CAS + HT servers). Get-ExchangeCertificate -thumbprint "0B188A07E3ED59FE402C88ABAE462C663E00A1B9" | New-ExchangeCertificate If the existing certificate is being used for SMTP, you will get the following prompt:
Type y to continue. A new certificate is generated. The new certificate is generated and enabled. Examine the new certificate: Get-ExchangeCertificate -thumbprint "0B188A07E3ED59FE402C88ABAE462C663E22A1D8" | New-ExchangeCertificate Step 2: To enable the certificate for IIS: Enable-ExchangeCertificate -thumbprint "0B188A07E3ED59FE402C88ABAE462C663E22A1D8" -services IIS This enables the certificate for IIS (in addition to any other services it may already be enabled for – it adds to existing values of the services property). Step 3: Remove-ExchangeCertificate -thumbprint "0B188A07E3ED59FE402C88ABAE462C663E00A1B9" Reference: Exchangepedia SSL Certificate from IIS to use in FileZilla FTP ServerAugust 14, 2009 – 1:26 pm by Tom Van den BergIf you want to install a certificate to in Filezilla you can create a self-signed certificate.
